Week 15
The original plan was to take a suitable shot during a day out at Warwick Castle, however the fact that it's a tourist attraction pretty much put that idea out of the window straight away. Despite having my new Sigma 10-20mm lens on quote a lot, I wasn't able to take a tripod with me and so the shots just aren't sharp enough for my liking.
So yesterday I took a walk around the Irby Dales, hoping to be inspired by the rolling hills and woods. This shot was taken as I was on the way back to the car, the sun had finally come out through a break in the clouds and a shadow was slowly making it's way along this valley following the track. I set my camera up as quickly as I could and just managed to get this shot as the shadow reached the far end. There were other shots taken, but the contrast was never as good.
I've increased the contrast in the clouds slightly to accentuate the highlights and shadows, and I think this has helped to show the break in the clouds much better. You can even see the faint shafts of light.

Irby is one of my favourite places and this is such a beautiful picture.
